Position Available:  Asset Manager, Minneapolis, MN (#6113)

The Asset Manager will drive value across a large portfolio of real estate holdings consisting primarily of large residential developments and mixed-use master planned projects located across the United States.

  • Act as primary resource in due diligence and oversight of residential land development projects for Company’s real estate holdings
  • Work closely with Company’s asset management partners when creating and developing timelines, budgets and projections relating to these investments
  • Provide day-to-day oversight on significant existing portfolio of residential development investments nationally with ability to assess local market absorption and economic trends
  • Assist Company’s real estate investment professionals in underwriting and modeling new transactions
  • Attend quarterly asset management meetings with operating partners to review business plans and projections
  • Assist Company deal teams by coordinating and conducting asset, operational and accounting due diligence
  • Create and implement detailed operational improvement plans with identification of key deliverables and milestones
  • Identify and apply best practices to drive results across transactions

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics or related field required; advanced degree preferred but not required
  • 5+ years’ experience working in residential land acquisition and/or land development within the homebuilding industry.
  • Experience in analyzing regional market conditions in multiple national markets
  • Strong financial background with understanding of residential project cost assumptions and budgeting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, including experience creating Excel based cash flow projections.
